Village Concerns
Don't worry if your child wants to mouth the toys. All toys and instruments are cleaned between every class.
All home materials can stay at home for your use - and your baby's enjoyment!
Feel free to nurse or feed your baby at any time during class.
Don't worry if your child seems to not want to participate - even if he is sleeping! You both are still benefiting from the musical environment and you will be able to take many great ideas home with you to try when the time is right!
Our Time Concerns
Our Time children really like to move! Keep a close watch over your toddler during class. Feel free to redirect him toward the activity any time.

Don't worry if your child seems to not want to participate. You may find that your child will prefer to recreate the activities at home - and that's fine! In time, most children enjoy participating in class. Regardless, you both will still benefit from class time together.
Imagine That! Concerns
All home materials can stay at home for your use - and your child's imaginative play!
Parents are invited to the first 10 minutes and the last 15 minutes of the first class. Each consecutive class, the children enter class by themselves. Parents only join class for the last 15 minutes. Let your child know that you will be in the other room and will see him soon. Children may be sad to see you leave at first. This is normal, and improves over time.
The teacher will signal to parents when it's time to join the class for Sharing Time.
Young Child Concerns
Students should bring their bag and folder to every class. The songbook and CD can remain at home for practice and fun!

At the end of the two-year program, your child will receive a graduation certificate and be ready for other musical instruction, such as piano or guitar lessons.
Illness
To insure the health of all the children, it is recommended that you do not attend class if your child is sick. It is difficult to determine if your sick child is contagious. Please do not attend if, within the past 24 hours, your child has had a fever of any degree, vomiting, or diarrhea. Your child must be fever-free without any medication for 24 hours before attending class. Let us know if you will be missing a class due to illness, and we will try to schedule a make-up session for you.
Make-Up Classes
To maintain the best learning environment, it is essential that children and parents make the best effort to attend class as scheduled. If you or your child is ill or you will be out of town and must miss class, please call so a make-up class can be scheduled. A maximum of 2 make-ups will be allowed during fall or spring semester and 1 make-up during summer. Make-up classes are not a guarantee and will depend on the schedule of classes currently available.

Please look at our semester calendar for start and end dates as well as vacation weeks. Note the schedule before you register for class so that you will not have any scheduling surprises!

Liability Waiver
The participant and any accompanying adults or guests attending classes with Music and Friends Studio and/or any of its functions in a studio or off-site does so at his/her own risk. By registering and enrolling your child(ren) in class(es) at Music and Friends Studio, parent/legal guardian knowingly waives the right to litigation if injury occurs out of said participation but not limited to the studio, owner, educator, or any of its affiliate's own negligence. Music and Friends Studio, its owner(s) and affiliates shall not be liable for any damages or personal injuries sustained by any participants or their guests while on or off premises. By enrolling in any class at Music and Friends Studio, you are acknowledging that you have read and agree to all policies and this does forever release and discharge Music and Friends Studio and all owners, employees, volunteers, affiliates, and agents from any action or course of action, present or future, whether the same be known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, resulting from or arising out of the participants, accompanying adults or guests use or intended use of the said facilities and equipment on- or off-site.
- Try to arrive early to class to allow your child to acclimate to the environment. If you do arrive late, please enter the classroom quietly.
- Please remove your shoes when entering the classroom. This ensures that our floor stays clean, that no one gets stepped on by hard shoes, and that children have the chance to learn through feeling with their feet!
- Remember to dress comfortably. We will be doing a lot of movement activities.
- Notify us in the case that you are unable to find child care arrangements for siblings not in the class. Siblings may be welcome, depending on the size of the class and the age of the sibling. Just let us know in advance!
- Always keep a watchful eye on your child to keep him safe.
